Meet Mrs. Cooley

     Mrs. Lana Cooley is one of four second grade teachers this year at Mazie Gable Elementary School.  She is a graduate of Dallastown Area High School and Millersville University with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary and early childhood education. She has also earned her Master's Degree in elementary education from Millersville University. This will be Mrs. Cooley's 33rd year teaching with the Red Lion Area School District. She taught at North Hopewell Winterstown Elementary for 23 years, and joined the Mazie Gable community 10 years ago.  During Mrs. Cooley's first two years of teaching, she taught fourth grade. Since moving to second grade, she feels she has found where her heart truly belongs. She really enjoys working with the second graders as they have such enthusiasm and love for learning.

     Mrs. Cooley lives in the Red Lion area with her husband. She has two daughters. Kaitlyn is a nursing assistant at WellSpan York Hospital, and McKayla is a designer for Quarry View Building Group. Travis and Brady have joined her family as son-in-laws over the last two years. Mrs. Cooley enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening, camping, visiting the beach, and she is a roller coaster enthusiast!

     Mrs. Cooley's heart is devoted to her students. She enjoys her job very much and takes great pride in her students and in teaching.  Mrs. Cooley gets a great deal of satisfaction watching her students grow throughout the year.
