Mrs. Amy Jackson Bio
Mrs. Amy Jackson is one of the three reading specialists at Mazie Gable Elementary School. This year Mrs. Jackson will work primarily with third,fifth and sixth grades as well as ROAR for additional grades. Mrs. Amy Jackson has been with the Red Lion Area School District since 1991.This year will be Mrs. Jackson's 31st year with the district and 19th year as a reading specialist. Mrs. Jackson has been a reading specialist since 2002.
She received her Bachelor's degree in English Literature with an additional Elementary Education Certification from Immaculata College in 1990. She received her Master of Science Degree in Reading from Western Maryland College.
Mrs. Jackson also has an additional 66 credits from various institutions. Mrs. Jackson is also an adjunct professor at York College and teaches graduate classes for Teacher Education Institute in the summer and on weekends.
Besides being an educator, Mrs. Jackson is the mother of four daughters and the grandmother of three. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, practicing yoga, watching lacrosse and shopping. Her favorite destination is the beach.
