Welcome to First Grade!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Rowe and I am a first-grade teacher at Mazie Gable Elementary. This will be my 15th year in education and my eighth year at Red Lion! I love teaching first grade because of all of the exploring, learning, and fun we get to have!

I would like to share a little bit about my education. I went to school in York County and I graduated from Eastern York School District. After high school, I went to college at Eastern University where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I am also certified in Special Education and I have my Master’s degree in Reading.  I love to teach and I can’t wait to share all the exciting things you will learn this year!

You will get to know me throughout the year, so I want to share a little bit about myself outside of the classroom. Growing up, I lived with my Dad, Mom, and younger sister. After college, I added to my family by adopting a border collie named Sam. He is still a big part of my family today! After meeting my husband in 2011, we got married and are now parents to three beautiful, fun-loving little ones!  We have a seven-year-old named Landon, a five-year-old named Charlotte, and a four month old named Evan.  My family keeps me very busy and I love every minute of it.
